Beware fake Viagra, experts warn



Viagra has become a family word round the globe and already a minimum of twenty million men have taken it – although a lot of realistic figure is maybe 50-100 million

An analysis of pills from twenty two totally different websites claiming to sell medication like Viagra and Cialis found seventy seven per cent of samples were pretend and contained solely thirty to fifty per cent of the active ingredient publicized on the label.


Many of the counterfeit drugs also contained undeclared substances such as gypsum, found in fertiliser, commercial paint and printer ink, said Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand president Dr Stephen Ruthven.

The study, by San Diego Sexual Medicine's Dr Irwin Goldstein, suggested the fakes could also contain other harmful ingredients including antihypertensive medications.
